When posting a new jam, follow these etiquettes:
1. Try to read all the jams for a verse before posting. If someone has already posted your thoughts, don’t duplicate. Just give it a thumbs up!
2. Each jam you post should focus on one specific topic. If you'd like to reflect on multiple topics related to the verse, post multiple jams with different topic titles. The only justification for posting multiple topics in one jam is if you want to describe a relationship between those various ideas.
3. Do not argue or debate when jammin'. If you don't like someone's jam, just vote it thumbs down. You can also simply post your point of view in your own jam without mentioning the other dude's jam. Remember, QuranJam.com is not a venue for debates. If you want to argue, take it some place else.
4. When posting a hadeeth or narration, try to give the source and authenticity if possible.
5. Realize that QuranJam.com does not intend to nor can it ever replace a scholarly work of tafseer. Posts on this website are written by lay people who are merely sharing their personal reflections and stories of how the Qur'an affected their lives. May it be a source of inspiration for all who participate! Ameen.

A group of guys are sitting around bored. Time is drifting. Minds go numb. Suddenly a brainwave hits the room. "Let's recite the Qur'an verse by verse and share our personal reflections for each verse." "Ummm… Okay, you go first…" To everyone's surprise, what was once a boring get-together suddenly becomes an eman-raising, knowledge-sharing power session. These guys are Quran Jammin'... and they love it! So why not share it with the world? And so QuranJam.com is born, al-hamdu lillah.
How it Works:
Browse for a verse you are interested in or search for it. Then click on the “See Jams” link under the verse.
To share your personal reflection (a.k.a. "jam"), simply click the "Add Jam" button. You can share personal stories that relate to the verse, or your thoughts and reflections, or an authentic hadeeth or quotation that you think is pertinent to the verse, or even another verse of Qur’an that you think is related. You can even add pictures to illustrate your point.
You can also read and vote on the "jams" of your fellow users. The more "thumbs up" a jam has, the higher it is in the list. The more "thumbs down" a jam has, the lower it is on the list. If it goes too low, it is removed so that there is no unwanted spam or bad posts. We encourage everyone to actively vote on each jam so that the most beneficial information is prominent and the bad stuff is removed.
