Salaam, I am looking for a site where I can listen to the Quran so it becomes easier for me to learn it. Does anyone know a site where i can listen to the Quran by numerous reciters. If so what reciter do you recommend?

One more think I really like to stress to all the Muslims out there is who important learning the Arabic languages is to us. Don’t forget that it’s the language Allah has chosen to reveal the message to mankind. We really have to give it some of our time to learn it this will open up so many opportunities. You are probably thinking O well, I can always grab the translation for a book shop just down the corner, when you do this just realize that by translating some parts are lost. Not because the translator is doing a poor job but by the complexity of the language. Therefore instead of being lazy you will have to go to the core of the knowledge meaning by reading the books containing them and most of them are unfortunately in Arabic.

Re: any suggestions ?

I am probably late but just adding...

Another good website for Qur'anic Recitation is:

www.IslamWeb.net

You can change the language to English by selecting it from the top left.

Coincidently, I am listening to a recitation from the same page. In fact, Shaikh Khalil, about half-way through An-Nisaa!

I agree that we should make every effort to learn Arabic. It's importance can never be fully emphasized. May Allah help us.

P.S. Brother Khaldun... I am very sad to see that you have left one of the greatest reciters, Shaikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Housry out! To stress this, I have even written in Bold!!
