Hi everyone

Just wanted to share this with you, which i found rather ridiculous, but we are living in a ridiculous world.

So first of all tattoos are forbidden in Islam, we all know this, while those before they were practising or became muslim can be excused from sin due to ignorance (jahiliya).

So here we have a news article stating that the staff of the plane refused to get on board, due to seeing a passanger with a tatoo, of the isis flag or verses from the Quran. Which no-one can identify correctly but assume hes one of the bad ones, delaying the flight, and denying him and his wife (i think) access onto the flight.

Have we come so far from our beloved deen that we have allowed absolute morons to hijack our identity, our shahada and make people cower in fear whenever they see arabic, whenever they hear arabic, when they see writing from our Holy Quran.
What is wrong with people today, had the fear mongering not got too much, what next they are going to ban headscarves, niqabs, Qurans, arabic writing onto planes ?

Lets hope these companies have deep pockets, as i can definitely feel alot of lawsuits coming their way, if they contintue to treat muslims in such a disgusting manner, as if we are the people they hate, when in actuall fact we hate them even more for what they are doing to our religion, and to our brothers and sisters worldwide.

Im absolutely disgusted that isis and Quran can even be mentioned in the same sentence without feeling pukish

(Very annoyed)

We are living in the world where the over-reaction has became a norm. :heated:

I like the Flag of Tawheed / Shahadah Flag.. Sadly, I'd be persecuted if I was to hang it.. :(

Allahu alam.

:salam:

Islam, a religion of peace, thought to be a religion of war and terror, yet the very name Islam, means peace, how can peace = terror, terror = Peace? Islam - Salam.. we greet with greetings of peace.

Doesn't anyone see the absurdity in this?

Allahu alam. may Allah :swt: forgive me if I erred. Ameen.

Funny fact: I don't look "Muslim" or in other words Eastern lol.

So it'd be fun for me to try.

This is really sad, that Islam has come to this, that, to elaborate on this quote, when people hear the name Islam or Muslim, they think of something worst than the communists, they think of something that is ready to crush all.. People are trying to protect their children from something they believe to be evil...it is quite sad.

Instead of the 5 pillars, people think being a Muslim means

1. killing anyone who isnt a Muslim
2. beating, treating women harshly
3. forcing young girls/children into marriage
4. worshiping a moon god
5. that Muslims hate jesus and anything good

Harsh but the sad truth..

It is time for Muslims to step up, not just to be better Muslims, not just to educate your own families...educate non Muslims, you don't even have to try to convert them, that is between them and God, but at least show them what Islam is, and not what they see on the news they watch.

I see so many American Muslims flying all over the country and world, lecturing to Muslims, why not educate non Muslims too??

^ A few of you have done that here, and as a non-muslim I find you to be friendly and good people. A few have done the opposite and given the opposite impression, but on sum it shows that we shouldn't put you all into one stereotyped box.

Greetings earthling :)

Well the problem is, not everyone is a nice person, or has empathy/sympathy, or even basic manners among fellow human beings, now this isnt just a problem among muslims, but a problem among all mankind, all races, both genders, all religions, its not a problem that we can specificly say comes from a certain group of people.

The moment we begin to stereotype a whole group of people, and isolate them, you do exaxtly what the people who you hate want you to do, they want everyone to be divided & think the worst of us, so they have more fuel for their rubbish that they spread, the more attacks on muslims there are, the more reasons they come out with that its the "non - muslims against us" "look at what they do to us" when in reality they couldnt give 2 craps about what happens to us, when they put us in this situation, and hijack our religion in such a disgusting and offensive manner.

We shouldnt ever stereotype anyone, we all know it just leads to more hate, racism, discrimination, xenophobia, divisions then violence for one group who feels that theyve been treated wrongly for so long, as we have witnessed before our eyes.

Nobody in this day and age should ever feel persecuted because of their differences or what they believe in ever... but it seems like nowdays being different is a reason to be pesecuted, not exactly the civilized morden thinking people we make out to be are we :(

And now having people claim that a person speaking arabic, or having arabic text is considered a potential terrorist is downright offensive, the fact that they have hijacked our testimony of faith (where we basically declare our faith in Allah in order to become muslim) which is their flag and now somehow asociated with terrorist behaviour is beyond me and downright disgusting & double offensive.

(Im sorry im not targeting you, but you have to understand our sheer frustration, our anger at these idiots, and then these other idiots who believe those idiots, its a idiot fest ! )

Its downright deppressing the state of affairs we are in.

Yes exactly those 5 things are what are brought up, when people have absolutely no idea about islam whatsoever, its sad we are meant to be the best of people, but those who have the limelight and are given it are the worst of people, it just backfires on us like a downward spiral, making life incredibly difficult for us here, while all the good charity work, those speaking out against these attrocities go unnoticed & unheard swept under the rug without a care in the world.

It is sad how the shahadah has become something of a terrorist symbol synonymous with violence. Actually when some people think of Islam the only thing that comes to their mind is terrorists or ISIS or oppressed women. :(

Our religion has been hijacked by recent events, when they are the exact opposite of what Islam is about.

Although some people who still try to learn for themselves :) the non-Muslims here on this forum have made an effort to understand Muslims and hopefully wouldn't consider Islam to be a violent religion and I actually paint calligraphy and a lot of people who aren't Muslim have commented on how beautiful they find written Arabic. It's just that governments or authorities or the media do all this fear-mongering and over-reacting and blow things out of proportion.

I feel something odd in this case. If someone has tattoo of ISIS flag, he would not show it because he must be know the risk. Probably that tattoo is just a logo with Arabic letter that not relate to Qur'an verse.

When Muslims get discriminated, it would actually be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to start a Muslim-specific and Muslim-friendly service. In fact, people should see these occurrences as opportunities instead of problems. Every problem is actually an opportunity to solve it. I wonder what it would take to start an airline? You would not need to buy airplanes, because you could just lease them. Such lease may of course NOT be riba/interest-infested. Concerning the staff, I would actually try to hire Muslim flight attendants, wearing headscarves and hijab. Of course, it would only serve halal food and no alcohol whatsoever.

By the way, it could make sense to organize the seating that the men are sitting on the right, and women and children on the left of the plane? Instead of "indiscriminately mixing"? I suspect that this should be investigated in terms of requirements for a real Islamic service. I somehow suspect that the typical seating in airplanes nowadays may actually not be halal, but I am not completely sure about that.

How about "Quranic Airlines"? Would that be an acceptable name? I guess I would also have to ask the ulema to weigh in on that, because you'd never know. Maybe another name would be better? You see, what Richard Branson did with Virgin Airlines is not impossible. By making everything halal in and around the airline, you would automatically get lots of passengers of Islamic extraction who would openly prefer your service. Achieving this would be much harder for non-Muslim entrepreneurs, because they would not be able to count on a captive market. Therefore, it would be much easier for "Quranic Airlines" than it was for "Virgin Airlines" to snowball beyond the miminum critical mass of passengers and flights needed to make the service financially viable. I think that there are lots of opportunities to halalize particular products or services, and automatically feed from a relatively large captive market that actually desires halalized products and services. Of course, given the fact that Muslims are the home audience for such service, they would not need to worry about discrimination at all. That would be another plus, of course.

Wonderful idea! Hopefully some one will follow it asap.

One thing going bothers me, why do flight attendants need to be females? There can be bearded flight attendants too :D?
