i thought it would be good to start a thread on resources for learning urdu.
i like these because they are stories of kids and the language is a bit simpler.

i recently found some books that are pretty good - it is best if you already know urdu from hearing it cuz they're all in urdu. it's a series of books for kids.
they're from pakistan - i bought them through

it's a series called learn urdu ("ao bacho urdu sikhen") and goes from grade 1 through 8. this same store has more children's books too.
