How will YOU be remembered when you leave this earth?

What good deeds will gain you constant reward after you die?

Important things to think about :ia:.

the constant duah my kids make...

“And lower unto them the wing of submission & humility through mercy and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young.” #Quran 17:24

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Rasool-Allah (PBUH) said, “When a man (or a woman) dies, all his/her good deeds come to an end, except three: a) Ongoing charity done by the deceased (Sadaqa-e-Jaariya)…b) Beneficial knowledge of the deceased that will keep on helping the others.…..and third….c) Righteous son/daughter who will pray for him/her (the deceased).” #Sahih Muslim Vol.4:4223, Book of Wills

I hadn't thought of planting a tree! mashaa allah might have to become a gardener now!

Buy Mushaf's (quran, kitab) to leave at the masaajid.
Teach people dua's and quran starting with my children inshaa allaah.

Righteous pious children :).

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “When a Muslim dies, his actions are cut off from him except from three, continual charity (sadaqa jariya), knowledge he benefited from or a righteous child who supplicates for him.” [Muslim]

May Allah make our children steadfast on the deen. Ameen!

building masjid

Subhan Allah :)

The Prophet (Sallallaahu-‘alayhe wa sallam) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.” [Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim]

Also towards the mosque:

- Donating books and Islamic reading material.
- Donating prayer mats.
- Donating Quran CD and Islamic audio.
- Participating in building of the Masjid.

Imagine someone using the Islamic material that YOU donated and benefiting from it :).

"Leave a trace: Two plantings which have a long effect, planting a tree and planting a legacy. The tree produces and people eat from it after your death and you will be rewarded for that, and the legacy results in people imitating you in it after your death and you will be rewarded even more for that." - Muhammad Al-Munajjid

A virtue of providing a well (water)

Question

Is the following narration authentic?

“Whomsoever provides a well will be rewarded till the day of Qiyamah whenever any thirsty Jinn, Human or bird drinks from there”

Answer
Imam Ibn Khuzaymah (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith in his Sahih on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir ibn ‘Abdillah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
(Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Hadith: 1292)

There is a treasure that will never be reduced no matter how much you share. Your beneficial knowledge. Share your beneficial knowledge with the others, and it will become your very valuable legacy.

- Writing your own book, imagine people that still benefit from your writing :).

- Creating a beneficial business (Eg. Islamic bookshop), that can be continued through the generations by your children.

Leaving a Will.

It is narrated for instance that 'Malik related to me from Nafi‘ from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
It is the duty of a Muslim who has anything to bequeath not to let two nights pass without writing a Will about it.” (Al-Muwatta’ of Imam Malik)
