I was told by various people that if you have a dream that something bad will happen about yourself or someone else, if you give sadaqah and that thing is written in your destiny, it will erase that thing out of it.

I am told this is a saheeh hadith and I have read it before somewhere as well, but I have been on the computer searching for it for about 2-3 hours straight and I cannot find it anywhere.

Please help Insha'Allah..

The benefit of Sadaqah

Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said: "Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire."
(Tirmidhi #2541)

"Sadaqah appeases the Lord's anger and averts an evil death."
(Tirmidhi #1909)

"Give the Sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity." (Tirmidhi#1887)

"The believer's shade on the Day of resurrection will be his Sadaqah."
(Tirmidhi #1925)
