Karman Hedar was in his mid sixties, enjoying many blessings and favors of Allah, and things could not have been any better for him. But, one day, he suddenly found himself in a situation that tore his life apart. His favourite daughter, Kuresha, absconded with her unscrupulous neighbor, shattering the lives of her husband and three beautiful children.
"She was a wonderful girl that loved her Deen so dearly! How could she ever do such a thing! Where did she go wrong?!"he kept asking himself.
As the reality dawned, he noticed the world around him narrowing... people in his little town seemed to lose respect for him. He was well respected before, and was held in much esteem. He wondered how they found out, because Kuresha lived in distant place where no one of his town knew anyone. Realizing that secrets are not easy to hide, and how impossible it is to control rumors, he knew that he was going to have to put up with whatever follows.
This was not enough. Whenever his eyes fell upon his grandchildren, he felt a fire burning his liver away. They were shattered. To his surprise, the elder one was taking it harder than the two youngers. Though the future of the smaller ones was much bleaker, but the teen understood more. Besides having lost his family unit, he had no face left for society anymore.
Karman's life turned into a dark world, almost as though he was in Hell already before even tasting death yet. Everyone around him noticed his pain, but none had words to console him. "It's not the death of a close one... it's worse than that. My pious married daughter is involved in zina, and has destroyed her home".
He passed sleepless nights in his lounge with no strength to carry his swollen feet to his bedroom. One night, as he dosed off, he was heard giving an exasperating scream that woke everyone in his family up. "What's wrong Dad?", "Don't take it so badly, things will be fine"... were the consoling words being told to him with tones of affection. But, it was not easy, because the reason for his shreak was something he could not disclose to anyone.
Apparently, many years before, when he was still in his prime, he fell in a blind love with a married woman. She worked her way towards divorce, and he married her secretly. But, Allah did not bless that marriage which was based upon a haraam relationship, so it shortly came to an end... something he had forgotten a long time ago.
Now, just as he dosed off, he sees the ex-husband of that lady in his dream... in a distressed state like the time when his marriage broke, saying to Allah: "O Allah! Destroy the marriage of his most loved one in the same way that he has destroyed my marriage."
This was the reason for his painful scream... 'he was the cause of this unbelievable action of his pet, his beloved daughter, his Kuresha.'
It was also the first time he finds out that the man was aware that he was the cause of his breakup. Today his eyes open to the fact that the greatest bounty after Imaan is a family. Now he knows how painful it is to be robbed of your family. He thought to himself: 'This is why Iblees honours that small shaitaan the most who has caused a breakup of a marriage'. And worse of all, he sees the power of the prayer that emits out of a broken heart... but it's all too late to make amends. "If only I knew all of this before!
Remember : whatever goes around , comes around
