Salaam 'Alaikuum

My name Is Mick, pleased to say Hi & Salaam to you all.

I hope to be able to chat to some of you on the threads about some things I am interested in, and hope to be able to answer any questions you have of me.
I'm a 32yr old half Irish half English Christian from Berkshire, but don't let that fool you, I'm not your typical happy clappy bible bashing Christian.
I am not here to to do anything other than learn some real facts about Islam and am not going to try and preach or convert any of you as it just is not my style.
(I have noted the guidelines fully and see that this site has Islamic goals, I respect that and will not try to disrupt that in any way)

That said even as a Christian I have much interest in the Islamic faith and Muslim people, (one of my bothers is a Muslim so it is nto completely foregin to me in that sense) but I and am really interested in hearing a wide range of views from a Muslim perspective.

Call me paranoid but I think there is far too much media bias going on in this country & I feel lied to by my governmemt and the media about most things Islamic. The thing is I do not really get the chance to chat to any muslims in real life either so I feel I am really losing touch with real people which is why I hope to have a good chat with some of you guys and gals here.

Anyway thats a bit about me, I'm looking forward to chewing the fat with some of you on the threads.

Anyway I just wanted to say thank you all for such a warm welcome...

I was a little unsure how I would be taken being a Christian and all... but I am really looking forward to seeing things from the insiders point of view for a change and not some biased media presentation.

Anyway I'm off to have a look at the threads now... thanks again for the kind welcomes. :)
