My name is Patrick I am pleased to be a new member. I have followed islam in the past and am presently wanting to learn more. I am lucky being in the US to have many friends who are islamic introduce me into your culture and start me towards my knowledge. I look forward to learning much from the educated members on this board. Thank you.

Welcome to this Forum. (smile) A community is as rich as it's members. Thank you for enriching us with your membership.

As for avatars, as I recall, you need to have a certain number of posts before you can upload one (25, maybe?). There are some standard ones you can choose. Click around at the top of your screen and find out how to do things. It takes a bit of time, but messing around with things is the best way to learn , I find.
