It has dumb rules.

Because of the dumb rules I could never join your religion.

According to you, it was god who ordained your dumb rules.

If there were a god he would not make dumb rules.

Therefore I conclude there is no god.

By your logic, if something has dumb rules than it is a religions....so then school is a religion too? My parents are a religion....

No, I never said that. A dumb rule doesn't make something a religion.

But religions have dumb rules.

Rules makes one becoming a very discipline person. Rules and regulations makes a company a very successful company. Waht if a company does not has a rules such as you must work at least for 8 hours a day. What will the workers do? So? the company will becoming a welfare company? Where comes the profit? How will they becoming world leading company?

So do rules in religion. Rules never makes you becomes a worse person, it always makes us becoming a better person. Sometimes we may it think the rules is rediculous, once you practising it, feel it, you will love it! try it!

Yes it is. In the US there is total religious freedom. The only thing that can be banned is if they advocate the overthrow of the government by force, or if they commit any crimes. In any of those case they would be tried for the crime and not for the religious belief.

Let's try to keep the discussion constructive. If we wanted to know about Scientology, it is better to keep our personal opinions of it to ourselves.

I have noticed that Islam was being compared in this thread. It should be noted that the reason we follow all the rules in Islam is because we first and foremost believe in God and the truth He has guided us to. Once we have this belief, then we need not any other reason for hearing and obeying the Words of God.
