Heres an easy to understand explanation of Imaam Ahmad's Usool us-Sunnah. It was originally in Arabic by Shaykh Usaamah Qoosee...but I cut the Arabic out and just left the English translations by Brother Abu Usaamah adh-Dhahabi.
