Should I learn MSA and a dialect at the same time?

Should I learn them one at a time or at the same time to save time? Pimsleur offers msa and Egyptian Arabic should I take both courses or just learn msa? I want to study the Quran so msa is important.

If you do not want to get dissapointed, please consider more effective courses from a well known islamic education facilty, eastern or western.

A lot of zeal is needed and maybe full BSc and MA degrees after finding a scholarship/stipend is better.
