Simple Addition ...

as-salamu'alaikum,

this is a simple addition test I'd like you to try please, without using a calculator, working from top to bottom without skipping any steps:



- First, add 40 to 1000

- Now add 1000

- Then add 30

- Add 1000 again

- Now add 20

- Add 1000 once more

- Lastly, Add 10

If so, you're wrong (most people seem to get it wrong with 5000),

the point is that most people arrive at 5000, although the true answer is very different, despite the test involving only simple addition.

the answer is actually 4100  -  not 5000.

you can verify this using a calculator.

When I first saw this around a year ago I got 5,000. Then I saw the silly mistake
