Singing Imam

Today I got a new experience in salah Juma'ah. The imam recited Al-Fatihah and other surah in melody like nasheed. I say it like nasheed because - if I am not wrong - there is a nasheed with melody like this but I don't remember the title.

My question : is it allowable or is it bid'ah ?.

To recite QURAN AZEEM in voice which resembles to the sigers voice/style is not Allowed in ISLAM.
