Why aren't there any female admins on this forum?

No need, that can't be true every woman is equal to men. Shouldn't there be any because there should be a sister admin to look after private sections, male admins can't do that.

Why aren't there any female admins on this forum?

There are several reasons.


1. No sister has ever asked to be one.

2. The founders of the forum were brother university students sharing the same dormitory facilities and the same computer. Up until recently, it would have been very haram for them to have had a female co-administrator as they was need for much interpersonal contact.

3. We are not aware of any sister member who has a background in the mechanical aspects of a forum.

There are probabably more reasons.

Really if I was a female and older and I asked to be a mod could I be one and Alpha yes we know that but I can say that in confidence when I am a mod.

I was thinking about that for a while, but I think uncle woodrow is right regard the need of many interpersonal contact.
I think I need to have a forum one day after graduation and have all sisters in administration.

Dont argue! if you feel tiny winy bit oppressed then just say u want to be a female admin...the opportunity is there!.....the sister just used her knowledge of the quran to just give an idea to us that what admins generally undertake is protecting, monitoring and evaluating ,so therefore these particular jobs are better suited for the male but a female admin would bring another dimension which is also good … as well

Also - 'admin' and 'supermod' positions are not gender-based. If a female mod with the skill wants any of these postions, she need only ask.

That is a good idea. There is a very strong need for an Islamic forum with all female admins. I believe it is best to have all the admins in an Islamic forum to be of the same gender. There is too much personal interaction between admins for it to be appropriate for mixed Genders. However, there is always a need for female supermods and a supermod does have Moderating powers equal to us admins, in fact in some ways a supermod has more to say about moderating then we have.
