Peace be upon you all,
I was wondering if anyone has had repetitive sleep paralysis experiences, and if anyone has been able to resist and break out of the paralysis or build resistance to it.
I had my first experience when I was 16, i remember waking up in a state of fear and paralysis and I tried to shout for help, and for the next 3 days I had breathing problems and tightness in my chest such that i couldnt engage in intense physical activity, i remember in those days going to college and my teacher asking me if I was okay and why I was walking slowly.
Since then, over 10 years later i have had more frequent occurences of sleep paralysis, like at least once every week, which I am used to and no longer suffer lingering symptoms/effect after each instance of paralysis. I am otherwise happy in my life and go about my daily routine without any trouble.
I personally do not like to go into spiritual vs medical speculation about my case (e.g. demonic vs medical causes), but it would be perhaps helpful to know if anyone has been able to force their way out of paralysis if at all, or if they no longer feel the fear (besides reciting quranic verses).
