salaamz,

I have a couple of questions, so to rather, post two threads im going to post one.

Does anyone know a good Du'a to help you sleep? i sometimes have trouble, sleeping and im getting really frustrated.

Secondly , in Islam, are dreams interpreted in to something, or do we not believe in this? If so , i would like to know what my dream means, as i keep having a reoccurring dream and its not nice....

Hope everyone had a good Eid.

Assalamu3aleikum

As far as I know, dreams in Islam do mean something...From what I know,it can be derived from 3 things:

-Your subconcious mind
-Shaytan
-A sign from Allah(SWT)

Dreams can be there to guide you sometimes...if you need any dreams interpreted,I have arabic dream books so just tell me the dream and I'll write the meaning here :)

Im sorry but your post took me a couple readings to understand, way too many abbreviations and no punctuation.

Anyway, i agree, pray every night before you go to sleep. Surat el fat7a, Nas, and Falaq.

Salam. :)

:sl:

when one sees the Prophet :arabic5: they should only tell the interpreter or someone very trustworthy announcing it can cause jealousy etc and the blessing can be taken away, secondly the Prophet :arabic5: can come in different forms depending on peoples states e.g sinful state, practising state, pious state etc

you shouldnt rely on them dream books because if a 100 people were to have the same dream each would be different interpretations due to ones individual state.

sis if you have difficulty falling asleep start listening to the Qur'an. There's soo much sakina and tranquility when it is dark and all you can hear is the Qur'an, and as a result of all that peace, you fall asleep. i do that often and i get Masha'Allah very pleasing dreams (like being in Makkah and praying salaah as i often only listen to Sheikh Sudais and Shuraim)
i hope I am not disrespecting the Qur'an by listening to it until i fall asleep :S

Ok well, considering what Mujahidah4Allah said, consider there interpretations generally....they might not even correspond to you at all, anyway, here goes:

According to the book we have here,if a dog is chasing you and you are able to get away from him,it means you will "win over an enemy".This could mean maybe,if someone in your life is trying to case you harm or trouble, their efforts will not prevail...

And also,it says,if the dog is barking at you,"You will have hardaches at work".

Btw,his book is in arabic so Im translating it in english.

Idk if these two interpretations mean anything to you, insh'allah it shed a bit of light on your situation...and remember,Allah(SWT) knows all,and he knows whats best for us,so du'ah is the best way to go(if you do indeed have troubles).

Insh'allah kheir sis,:)

Apple Cider Vinegar is good for sleeping trouble. Vinegar is included in Prophetic Medicine like Olive, Black Cumin, Chicory, Endive Fenugreek, Ginger, Marjorum, Saffron, Water-Cress etc.

Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit:
The Prophet said, "The (good) dreams of a faithful believer is a part of the forty-six parts of prophetism:'

SAHIH AL-BUKHARI, Volume 9, Book 87, Number 116

Abu Salama reported: I used to see dreams (and was so much perturbed) that I began to quiver and have temperature, but did not cover myself with a mantle. I met Abu Qatada and made a mention of that to him. He said: I heard Allali's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: A good vision comes from Allah and a (bad) dream (hulm) from devil. So when one of. you sees a bad dream (hulm) which he does not like, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil; then it will not harm him.
SAHIH MUSLIM, Book 029, Number 5613

And if you have a bad dreams dont share it to others.

That is so true, i was having trouble with some girl at uni last year, and she made me life hell. But i had to stay strong, i didnt stoop down to her level, and never showed her that it effected me in anyway. Last year it got so bad that i broke down, because no matter how hard i wanted to hurt her back, i stayed strong, and found peace within praying, and just reading evertime i was angry or annoyed or full of rage. This year she has actually given up, and i dont hardly see her n e more, and when she does, she might give me a lil smirk, etc but i will just ignore her n show her that i dont care. So in a way, that is maybe true, which im glad to hear. thank you soo much, may peace be upon you, salaamz

And also,it says,if the dog is barking at you,"You will have hardaches at work".
regarding this one? umm if its my part time job, i did have a hard time, over working, and working through ramzan, and havig to do long hours whilst fasting. and then i didnt get my eid holidays etc. lol, but umm if its regarding my uni work, ummm im kinda up to date with everything.

My pleasure sis:),the meaning of the dream(in regards to the book I have) seemed to suit you're situation(with that girl) quite well.Insha'allah she won't cause you trouble again..

By turning to Allah(SWT) to help you(instead of hurting her back),it shows that you have a lot of character and that you are indeed strong(mash'allah).Good for you;some people have A LOT less patience,(actually,I don't know if I could put up with someone like that myself,ha).

Some people are just not worth wasting your energy on,so it's better to take the high road...but remember to always stand up for yourself,no one has the right to make you feel bad about who you are.ever.

;)

Anw,glad I could help!:D

:salamext:

i usually didn't remember my dreams.

If i dreamt about aliens or ghosts stuffs usually i'm the superhero with all the karate and kickboxing and flying kick techniques.

But yesterday i had a dream which i will never forget and had affected me physically and emotionally.

I had a sad dream.

I woke up at 4.30am and spit to the left and read ayah kursi.

I woke up and staring with a blur face. My mom saw me and asked me what i'm doing. Why are you staring to the floor like that.

Automatically i cried, cause i had the saddest dream that i don't think i want to share with anyone.

Then my mom scolded me because of believing and crying about the stupid dream... lol :D

The dream really affected me...and if i think about it i still cry.

Any good advise?

spitting and reading ayah al kursi was a good. and not sharing the drream is also good. if you are really scared and or sad, i gues the best thing to do would be to pray salaat and ask Allah to help you. But im no expert in Islamic studies, in fact i know very little. however, i have read somewher that it is good to pray salaat when you have a bad dream. Allah knows best

Kheir insh'allah sis...

Don't worry about it,it happens to everyone.Maybe something you're concerned with has sunk into your subconcious mind and is perturbing your dreams...make du'ah to Allah(SWT),read aya'tul kursi before going to sleep, and also I heard that reading Al mu3awazat(Al-Falaq and An-Nas) 3 times before falling asleep is beneficial.I don't quite remember the exact reasons for all three surats, but it's kind of like, for protection from Allah(SWT) during the night.(If anyone can bring up sources or something, that would help:) )

Also...don't eat heavy/spicy food before sleeping...it's known to cause nightmares.lol.It's a bit weird but,from my experience,true.(And plus..it's not very heathly.:D)

:w:

oh yeh and sis i read somewhere reciting Surah Fatihah and Ikhlaas before sleeping in significantly beneficient as well

I use to recite sure AlNas, AlFalaq and AlIqlas as well as Sura Fati7a and Aya del Kursee before I go to sleep and I always Have all night long Sura Baqqarah running from the CD it supposed to protect your home form Shaytan inshAllah
