Which is the amount of light produced by a burned out bulb.

but your solution privides neither neon nor light. the neon has all burnt out.
the solution would be to have a "light" which absorbs all light around it. this may be feasible in a closed space.
any scientists who would like to invent this?

REMINDER TO MYSELF:

I must get a patent on my "Portable Black Hole" that I was planning to market as the ultimate garbage disposal. It may have promise as a genuine black light.

I wonder how fast and powerfully the technology is growing.

this is possible in the mere future but this invention is like a double edged sword, If something goes wrong then no wonder a city or even a nation may be sucked off through the same invention.....

it cant be that bad. first of all it can only be used at night (its impossible to soak up all the light of the sun). secondly, itll need to have a good power supply.
but it is feasible. a spherical devise which makes all the surfaces it shines on reflect their light towards the "black hole".
i especially like the idea of using energy to soak up energy. pointless!

do not let any congressman see that. It would become a government funded project immediatly. That is the criteria for all government projects.

I so wouldn't want to be a neon light.

Nevermind, I'm just being a killjoy.

Do they come in purple? They do, right? Thats what I wanna be...purple.

why was it neon light to choose in the first place , was there a specific reason

oh it gets better.
it can be self-sustaining. the initial light it absorbs should provide it with enough energy to give off the black light which allows it to absorb more light...
so it is quite energy efficient after all.

Next thing you know somebody will try to invent an automatic wudu machine.

I'm still waiting for someone who can invent a cellphone that doubles as a portable washing machine or refrigerator. Think it'll happen in my life time?

Oh, the lights. Yes, I almost forgot. I want a blue one that can also be used as a lightsaber. Got a few irritating fellows over here I wanna swat them with.
