Al-salaamu alaykum,
Hello fellow new Islamic Brother and Sisters, I thought I would share some resources, that I found and have been using to learn more about Islam
and to learn some of the basics of Islam.
http://www.myzikr.com/salat_files.php (these videos are broken down and slow for native english speakers to help better understand salat in arabic, it also has english captions and stick figures that show what position you should be in when saying salat )
http://en.quran.nu/ (its the quran in english with side by side arabic, it also has a few features like audio button the will read out loud the part of Quran you are wanting, there is also a search feature so that you may search whatever keyword that you want)
http://athan.islamicfinder.org/athan/basic/AthanBasic.exe (it is a software program for your computer or smartphone that will play call to prayer at prayer times for your time zone one you configure it, it also has a directional feature which tells you which angle you should face so that you are facing toward mecca for prayers)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syE-bhpoFCc (this video shows how to do wudu, i found it very useful)
http://www.alhudapk.com/ (lots of audio and video files for lots of learning)
http://www.islamreligion.com (lots of e-books/pdf files , live chat for lots of learning)
all of these sites have helped me so I thought I would pass them on to everyone that may be new to Islam or is wanting to learn more about Islam
