Hi everyone I'm looking for advice on what should I do.i recently moved with my faimly from a part of the city that were majority of non Muslim to a section that's basically all Muslim.I got a job at a gastation and I work with another Muslim guy but this person is a really bad person..he's a gambler,alcoholic,smokes weed etc..we were talking about women because I just got engaged and I was telling him he needs to as well and stop messing with these trashy non Muslim girls.then we got on a subject about how Muslim women are more wife material than these other girls that party all night,every night and cheat on there husbands while they are at work..well he told me that I was dumb and ignorant for thinking that only non Muslim women do bad things and that most of these Muslim girls now are to westernized and are just like the non Muslim girls.well at this point my blood was starting to boil and I was really getting mad that he was downing his own women.Well while we were talking a girl called him up and he told me to be quiet and he's going to prove to me that they are some Muslim girls that are bad..this girl is Muslim and she's married but born and raised in America like me,her uncle owns the gasstion that I work in plus 15 other gas station so mashallah they are doing good financailly..he puts her on speaker phone and she asks him why you didn't comeover lastnight and that she really wants to see him before her husband gets back from an out of town business meatting..the conversion started to get really nasty as she was telling him what she was going to do to him etc..at this point I really felt like knocking his head off but I walked off..Im thinking that I should just stay out of it because the only proof I have is what I heard and that's all.i really don't want to start no trouble but it's really killing me inside.sorry for the the long post/rant this is the first time I spoke about this And it was really killing me on the inside

AsSalaamu Alaaykum wa Rahmatullaah wa Barahkaatuh akhi,

Saying that 'all' people of a certain group are bad, is indeed foolishness to say so. We have no business or concern of what others are doing, rather we focus on ourselves first, this man seriously needs to fix himself before he starts down talking all muslim women. He should fear Allaah and fix himself up, he is no position (from what i've read) to be saying so and so, although, if he see's a wrong he should do his best to inform (As it is his duty) the other but in the best of ways, inshaa'Allaah.

Try to advice him how what he's doing is no better, he should realise he is to return to Allaah SWT one day, he will be accountable for all he did, rather than sitting and talking down about other's, he will be asked about his actions and not what other's did, so either speak good or remain silent. Also, don't let anger get the better of you akhi, it is best that you keep your calm and advice him as much as you are able to, and make du'aa for this brother.

I hope that other's provide much better response than myself inshaa'Allaah..
