Asalamualykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Why did you guys censor sunni path.com. This site is amazing. It is the largest online traditional Islamic Institute in the world. Great scholars like Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah and Mufti Taqi Usmani are the teachers of the Sunni Path teachers. Do they not represent a great percentage of the Ummah?

Allah knows best.

:sl: Bro,

Brother Ansar, one of our Admins, explained why the site is blocked here:

If you want to reference some fiqh material on the website, just copy-paste it in your post. A site may be blocked if even a very small fraction of its content is not in accordance with our forum policy; it doesn't mean the whole website is incorrect. In fact, the majority of the website may even be quite beneficial.

JazakAllah khair.

But when someone types in islamqa.com or islamonline.net, it is not censored. If this board is for ALL muslims, then a site such as Sunni Path.com should also be allowed since it represent a large portion of the ummah to adhere madhabs as did the great ulema of the past and present currently do and the muslims who take a path on the islamic science of tasawwuf as did the great ulema of the past.

I am saddened that a great Islamic forum like this would censor such an excellent resource.

Hajj is allowed for all Muslims. Do they not all pray behind the Imam of the Haramain although they may not be in total agreement with him. If the ummah can't be tolerant with each other then how can we work together for the same cause in bringing Islam to humanity and establishing this deen.

I sincerely ask the administrators of this forum to re-think there position on cenosoring SP for the sake of brotherhood that Allah has decreed upon us.

May Allah (swt) forgive me for anything I have said wrong and may Allah (swt) reward the adminstrators and moderators of this forum for making it a Islamic community online for Muslims worldwide. Ameen.

I've always wondered the same thing. Sunnipath is usually the first place I turn to for Islamic rulings and I don't see it as anything less than the other great ones like islamqa.com. But I don't have much knowledge so maybe I can be fooled by it easily.

Can someone please let me know exactly which part of sunnipath is incorrect so that we are not mislead?

No one can tell.It seems to "Sectarian " problem.
As a whole Muslims have very low threshold for tolerance.
Best of luck

I think you may be right because I realized that they have blocked every website that has the word "sunni" in it, which is quite a shame because some of them are very beneficial.

Someone will always find a fault in someone else, just like every book you read will contain a mistake. SP may have different answers to questions then islamqa, but that doesn't mean that one answer is wrong and the other is right. both answers are acceptable to those who read it. both sites have there proof. the reader can determine which best applies to them in there situation. or they can contact there local scholar whom they trust.

SunniPath is also very different from islamqa.com. SunniPath's primary objective is to teach islamic courses online. there answer section has not be updated in a while and they haven't taken much questions.

sunnipath is literally an online islamic academy where muslims from around the world can log on and take classes.

As Br. Ansar said, the matter is not about the Fiqh question/answers there and he said you can CAP it into your post. The site may be quite beneficial, but as he said, even if a small part of the site does not conform to forum policy, it may get blocked as is the case with SP.

Some articles by certain people in terms of Aqeedah and otherwise.

If websites URL is not given then you (moderators) delete the posts with objection "source is not given".
Sorry to say this statement "Some articles by certain people in terms of Aqeedah and otherwise" is highly inconclusive. Please give some example. Please do not hang answers to questions in the air.
Best of luck

I don't know much about it sis, sorry. But this is what I have been told...

AsalamuAlaikum,

I was just looking over Dr.Bilal Philips website and he actually has an 'islamic website' rating where he provides a list of recommended sites of correctness, deviant sites to avoid and anti-islamic sites. Regarding sunnipath, he states: Suffice it to say that this is a site which teaches the Nu Ha Mim Keller and Faraz Rabbani brand of Sufism.

As Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah, I would urge mods not to delete the above, be brave and not veil correct knowledge of Islam, the religion of Truth.

The Fatwa has the name of the scholar who has given it at the bottom, that should suffice in this case only.

As for the Aqeedah, I didn't want to mention names, but I will do so to be completely clear. The site contains articles on Aqeedah by the likes of Nuh Ha Mim Keller and others which is why do not allow it.

Brother, can you please show me some examples of that?
jazakAllah khair

Articles on Aqeedah by Keller and others like him.

I think this thread has served its purpose. If the thread starter has any more concerns, he can PM one of the Admins such as Br. Muhammad or Br. Ansar Al-'Adl Insha'Allaah.
