Surah Luqman question

Assalaualaikum

“And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys."

Does this mean it is haraam to shout things out or just to generally speak loudly? Does this also mean it is haraam to walk fast? Is this meant literally or another way?
