  • Surah: Ṭā-Hā
  • Surah number: 20
  • Ayah number: 44
“And speak to him with gentle speech, so that perhaps he may be reminded or fear Allah.”
(Qur’an 20:44)

Have you wonder why Allah said to Musa a.s to speak gentle speech to fir'awn??

  • Fir‘awn was one of the most arrogant and disobedient people (nafarmaan)
  • Yet Allah still commands gentleness, not harshness

Because:
  • Guidance comes through mercy, not only force
  • Even the worst hearts are not written off by Allah
  • Dawah begins with adab (manners)

Allah didn't say to crush him with words: Allah Said: So that perhaps he may reflect or fear Allah.
This teaches us:

  • You cannot argue someone into hidayah
  • Hearts open through respect, patience, and sincerity
  • Dawah is not about proving you’re right, but inviting gently
