Hope everyone is in the best of health inshaAllah. I just wondered how do you perform tahajud prayer? i've never done it before and would like to do it tonight and whenever i can. Can someone give me a simple guide or information? i've tried researching it but to me it seems confusing.

Also....do i have to sleep before i can do it? because i usually stay up until fajr time to read fajr.
