Assalamualikum brothers and sisters,

Well iam a born muslim, my parents taught me all the islamic values, but now i feel that those practical knowledge which they have imbibed in me should have a theoritical base. I have started exploring islam now.
I would love to gain knoweldge, discuss and pose question with regards to islamic values and fundamentals.

May allah grant us all jannatul firdous in the hereafter.

where members who have logged in can have a chat?

Well that would go a long way in knowing ppl in the forum and can be nice way of interaction.

Mods and admins any idea of having a shout box or is that iam a newbie and cant view it :p

It has been discussed a few times. But, some of the admins including myself are opposed to having one.
 
I completely agree why the shout box is not used here.
But if a shout box can be used intelligently like granting access only to the memebers after reaching a certain stage
As u have the cap for newbies replying to post.
Anonymous users and strict shout box rules can made.

one more thing bro, masha allah this forum is a very good place. Why dont we approach some scholars have them here
and get replied to the queries in Advice and support, might be the intial state , like the replies to the question can be done and if more clarification is asked for the person posing the question and the scholar can take things offline.
A proactive measure to approach scholars and have a scholar section would be a nice.

We would love to have a recognized scholar on staff. Several have been approached through the years and on occasion we have had some as members. But it always comes out that it is best we remain a very limited forum, discussing only general issues as lived daily by the typical Muslim and not get involved with issues of fiqh or the like.

Our place seems more to be one of letting non-Muslims learn the basics of how we live as individuals and as a first stepping stone for those who have recently embraced Islam.

Yup ur right Abdul Raouf bro, We have a crazy rating called iRace which is come into place for promotions and hikes , so yeah ppl who deserved hike for previous 3 yrs r getting it now so as all the lateral and the employees in the company r in the same salary slab.
