...I also wanna say that y'all who missed out - MISSED OUT!

But there will be another event soon insha-Allah. Just make sure you don;t miss that one. I thoroughly enjoyed this event, I learnt loads, and I wanna extend my gratitude to the organisers and speakers who did a fantabulous job of keeping things interesting.

This was really beneficial, not only for us members who get to learn so much - but also for our brothers and sisters in Syria who are suffering at the hands of the tyrant oppressor, Bashar Assad.

Allah helps those, who helps others.

Good question, so a worthy bump.

Kudos to the organisers... A few days back I was driven past the Ummah Welfare Trusts building in forest gate / east ham in London. It's really not that far, and a few buses can get me there. I must make a plan to visit them soon insha-Allah.

Just what is the group doing? how are they helping the people of Syria?

There are many dislocated people in syria. people who had to leave their homes to save themselves and go to other Syrian cities (the big cities like Damascus). unfortunately, the people of the other cities, instead of acting as ansaar and helping them, they raised the rents to get more profit!

so how is this group helping those people? are they making shelters over there? Free homes? free food distribution centers? A hotline to call for help? I didn't see any of those and I wonder where the money really goes.
