I dont like france. the people are nice. i dont like their goverment from the laws they pass.

I see no differences between French, Americans ,Jews, Arabs, Pakistanis and Malays. No ethnic group is worser than others.

I think it's silly that religious symbols are not allowed in schools or government jobs. It makes a mockery of democracy when governments start curtailing people's deeply held religious beliefs.

Is partial truth a lie? Jews in France are not permitted to wear a skull cap if they go to a government school or work in a government job!
That is a fact! But it is written in such a way, that one would conclude that there is an anti-Semitic law stating this. Is the poster lacking in knowledge about the French Law or is his post meant to deceive?
NJUSA gets my thumbs up! She has the right answer: “The same law that banned Hijab for girls also banned skullcaps, large crosses, and I think turbans”.
Are people so shallow that they think this law was put into effect for no valid reason? If you read you will find that there is a truly valid reason. Now, I disagree with the solution, but I don’t have a better one. So maybe it is the “Least Bad” decision.
This is discrimination!

This kind of post is created to bring out the worst of people. To some degree it worked. French are worse than red neck Americans & the French language is the worst. I have to wonder how many French or red neck Americans this fine young Indian of 16 years has met? I also wonder how many languages one needs to study to know whish is the best and which is the worst.
When I first heard about the ban, I researched and read about the subject. Knowledge is a good thing to have before making snap decisions. Other wise people can mislead you into there bigoted stances.

I can see this thread is full of rascism against France,
France do well to forbid all different kind of religious symbols in schools. If it's the christian cross, scarfs, kippas, or whatever other signs, for all of them it is equal.
School is prinicpally ment for learning and not showing off religious orientation. And when a muslim/jew/christian family want to benefit from the advantages from a foreign country but settleing down there, so please also adopt the local culture of this country.
Isn't it also, that when a westener woman comes to a muslim country, she must also hide her face by wearing a scraf? And what if this woman now will say "No, I'm Westerner woman, I have my rights, I will not wear it" What will happen in that case?
Most of you muslims always love to criticize other countries moral beliefs, but before you do it, start looking at your own place before judging !
