1. Associating partners with Allah (Shirk)

Great Shirk: worshipping beings other than Allah (proof all over Quraan)
Small Shirk: Riya

The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said,

"Should I not inform you of that which I fear for you even more than the dangers of Dajjal? It is the hidden shirk: A person stands to pray and he beautifies his prayer because he sees the people looking at him".
(Sahih; Sunan ibn Majah)

2. Committing murder: (Furqan; 68)

3. Performing Sorcery (2: 102)

4. Not performing the Prayers (Maryam: 59)

5. Withholding the Zakat (Charity) (3: 180)

6. Breaking the fast of Ramadhan or not fasting in that month with a valid excuse.

Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said,
"Islam is built upon five pillars: testifying that there is no true god except Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, performing the prayers, paying the zakat, making the pilgrimage to the house, and fasting the month of Ramadhan" (Sahih al-Jami # 2837)

7. Not performing the pilgrimage when one has the ability to do so (above hadith)

8. Disobeying one's parents (al-Isra: 23)

9. Cutting off the ties of relationships (Muhammad: 22)

10. Committing adultery or fornication (al-Isra: 30)

That is the fourth MAJOR sin....

I've seen too many people disregard prayer as it is of no importance...

Take heed brothers and sisters, and be strict to your prayers from now on inshaaAllaah....

Just a Reminder...

Re: REMINDER - The Fourth MAJOR Sin

Divorce.
I know a sister who converted to Islam a number of years ago. She was has had several temporary marriages and has had 2 formal marriages while being a Muslima, both were to help the man get citizenship in our country. 1 of the men she married 3 years ago and has not seen him since (has been married 3x since) now she has returned to the one from 3 years ago. Are they still considered married? Could anyone post me advice on how to talk to her about this. Any ayat from Quran al-sharif or from the hadith. some say not to even bring it up because it's Allah swt that will show her the truth when it is her time, how can we as the Ummah allow a fellow brother or sister to do such detestable acts?

Jazakallahu Khair Sis for the post , But I tought Zina was at a higher place :?

Who are we to say what comes after what? This is a list compiled by SCHOLARS, not layman like us.

here it is

No. 2483 - Narrated Anas:

The Prophet was asked about the great sins He said, "They are:--

(1 ) To join others in worship with Allah,

(2) To be undutiful to one's parents.

(3) To kill a person (which Allah has forbidden to kill) (i.e. to commit the crime of murdering).

(4) And to give a false witness."

Quit jumping down my throat - I just posted a reminder about praying 5 times a day and not abandoning it - sheesh. I won't bother to post reminders next time then.
