In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful​

The Freedom of Being Unknown​

Qaasim al Joo'ee (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:​

اِغْتَنِمُواْ مِنْ أَهْلِ زَمَانِكُمْ خَمْساً:
Benefit from the people of your time in five things:​

إِنْ حَضَرْتُم لَمْ تُعْرَفُواْ
That you are not known when you show up,​

وَ إِنْ غِبْتُم لَمْ تَفْتَقِدُواْ
you are not missed whenyou are absent,​

وَ إِنْ شَهِدْتُم لَمْ تُشَاوَرُواْ
you are not asked for your input when you are present,​

وَ إِنْ قُلْتُمْ شَيْئاً لَمْ يُقْبَلْ قَوْلُكُمْ
your statements are not accepted when you speak,​

وَ إِنْ عَمِلْتُمْ شَيْئاً لَمْ تُعْطَوا بِهِ.
and when you do something, you are not given anything for it.
