Those who want the ban obviously have no respect for Virgin Mary let alone Islam and the concept of Hijab.
I challenged (via http://wp.me/p3ufzK-1h) any/all Hijab haters to look into the anals of Christian history; the era of men and women who followed the techings of the great men described in the Old and New Testament...and tell us how the women of the followers of God's Word dressed. Did they dress like Virgin Mary or did they dress like Hijab-hating women of today.
