A collaboration by three brothers......
SALAHUDEEN (The departure)
rapturous i was, as i glared and stared with teary, sleep stricken eyes -
... for the very first time i watched the sun rise
quietly gathering my belongings
this is truly what i have been longing
hugely over ecstatic
almost galactic
the embarkment of a freedom fighter's venture
fighting for what we stand....i feel the tensure
from a lonely mother! ...i kept this hidden
her only son
anonymous...
to this... she was!
as she laid on the bed
i crept and ever so gently kissed her on the forehead
guiltily the room i left
to chase my dream.. had to presume with a protruded chest
will i ever live another day to smell the morning's aromatic zest??.....
ABU 'ALI (The long road)
.....looking back at it now will my heart ever rest
it beats hard - a boiling kettle deep down in my chest
the tension, i can feel it rising
silently plotting, enviously devising
a knot on the spot ere the pain turns a lot
i know that I simply cannot - walk away from this spot
like before, more often than not.
Not now, no way. this is my time slot,
my moment
to walk down this path
make my heart content
follow the path that the thousands before me went
rise from descent in spite of all the dissent
i can already taste paradise's scent.....
Haq-ul-Islam (The beautiful exit)
.....o slave - do you see it now - what you face
its either honor by Allah or eternal disgrace
o slave - look forward coz you simply cant
ever turn around - back to being hell bent
i'd rather have them fire bullets in my chest
i'd rather fill with blood my entire vest
then go back to what is demented at best
the dunya's desires - the devils crest
remember the nights you tirelessly wished
for Allah to grant you a chance like this
o slave make your choice with a firm grasp
throw out what you hold with your hand at last
you faught hard to never let this world penetrate the heart
now rest easy - reassured... as you part...
