I was lost and confused,
Spent hours searching,
Days and nights praying,
My eyes couldn’t rest,
From the tears that flowed within,
My mind racing and beating,
With a thousand constant thoughts,
My pillow drenched with sweat and tears,
Body paralysed-
Beyond all fears.
Suddenly I shoot up,
Gazing into the wild darkness,
An answer softly hovers within my soul,
How I never saw it, I couldn’t answer at all,
When had I left it?
How long did I let it go?
The reason for my existence,
My faith was no coincidence,
I reach for the answer with a smile,
Suddenly living feels more worthwhile,
I pass my fingers softly against his words,
My worries disappear; I feel I can face the world,
How many promises he made,
All in which he will never brake,
In the name of Allah,
The Most Gracious,
The Most Merciful…
