In my opinion, luck is:

"Something that Allah give to us, but not to the others."

Does anyone have other opinion? I need it so I can tell my friends. I hope there is a Hadis about this.:statisfie

I would call that God's blessing rather than luck.

According to the dictionary, the term luck seems to be associated with being a random, chance happening - rather than an event willed and set in motion by God.

luck
n.
1. The chance happening of fortunate or adverse events; fortune: They met one day out of pure luck.
2. Good fortune or prosperity; success: We wish you luck.
3. One's personal fate or lot: It was just my luck to win a trip I couldn't take.

Peace :)

The concept of luck is tricky because it implies that a force, perhaps even a deity other than Allah is affecting the outcome of things. Allah gives us the brains and the materials to live good, helpful lives if we so choose, and in that sense he has given us the ability to create our own good results (not luck.) But, to regard luck as a thing seperate from ourselves and apart from the will of Allah is risky business for the soul.

I think the term Luck is not Islamic one.

when u have something that others dont have u call it God Blessing to you

we might call a person lucky person and some other one unlucky person....I think we cant use such terms since we believe in Allah powers only. Allah can test human in both ways whether by a blessing or by a grief. and its all Allah wells at the end

believe in luck can lead us to trust in the power of Luck not the power of the almighty God
