‘Everything has an embellishment and the embellishment of the Qur’an is Surah Rahman’.
Surah Rahman is favourite surah of mine. It is the 55th surah of the Qur’an. It is on juz 27. Surah has 3 Ruku, 78 ayahs and 352 words. The meaning of Surah Ar-Rahman in English is ‘Most Beneficient’ and in Hindi, its meaning is ‘कृपालु’.
Main theme of Surah Rehman is the countless blessings of Allah which He shower on his Creation. فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ is the most repeated verse in this Surah, it reminds about the blessings and Mercy of Allah. Due to its repition and the beauty of Surah it is called ‘Aroos ul Quran’.
Surah Rahman has many mental and social benefits. It helps in the Depression and its repeated recitation provides Calmness to the heart.
Surah Rahman encourages us to recognize and express gratitude of countless mercies of Allah in our lives, it gives a motivation about balancing and harmony in our daily and social life.
So, we should recite it daily as a reminder of blessings and for doing right things to obtain salvation at the Day of Judgment.
