What do I do? If I read Quran, how long till I feel a change?

I seriously had enough of this. It is about shirk. I know, yet it still weights me down. Why?

At this point I am almost despairing over ever attaining Jannah, if this continues. I can only hope at this point lol.

Islam is simple, cuz that is what Allah says.

Write in a diary to Allah inshallah. Psychologist use this technique all the time. You replace a negative thought process with a positive one inshallah. It works for me and I have schizophrenia.
 
You need to start read the last 2 or 3 surahs regularly every day.
5 min to 5 hours.
The more you read the more your emaan will increase and this will crush the waswasa.

Kindly put up your shirk questions to us even if its greatly Blasphemous. No one except Allah Claims as the Creator of the world.

Assume if you go and claim that a Particular Ranch belongs to you , beleive me you may not be spared for long . So Allah in the Noble Quran is Claiming it 1400 years still the Noble Quran Exists and the Religion of Allah exists and growing too. Hope this is one of many points that could help to clear your thoughts of Shirk.

And The saving of the Body of Pharaoh of exodus is not even found in its first Source THE OT , but in the ONLY in the noble Quran Proves its Allah the Author of the Noble Quran who sent the Judgement on Pharaoh and Moses battle it s Allah who saved Moses and Killed Pharaoh and also Miraculously saved ONLY ONE BODY of Pharaoh from the depth of the Ocean (The red Sea) among 10000's of soldiers though he was in the Forefront leading his Soldiers . Hope this helps you too.

Do you think the meat eating, sleeping god can do all this ?

I have no doubt Allah is the one and only true Creator.

I have no doubt that The Qur'aan is 100% the word of Allah - all of it.

But I have waswass regarding Worship. I know worship is only for Allah.

It is about Tawheed, and the Monotheism of Islam. The Purity of Tawheed.....

Islam prohibits all forms of shirk and all aspects of Shirk in all aspects.

Kindly elaborate Brother. Your reward depends on your Niyat or intention . Allah knows that you do not want to do Shirk.

Firstly: I know the Quraan is 100% word of Allah. And I know Allah commands to worship none besides Allah.

I will never ever worship anyone or anything besides Allah. I know the answer, but shaytaan is now trying to doubt the words:

Anyone
Anything.

i know worshipping anything or anyone or whatever or whoever besides Allaah is shirk. it keeps playing on my mind.

So the question is, which I am stating reluctantly as I know the answer "Is Islam pure Monotheism, in all aspects? Particularily Worship of Tawheed? How is it?"

Read my signature, now what does "anyone" and "anything" mean? the any........ I am soo dumb.

Donno I got you correct.

Tawheed is a word (imo) used to refer worshipping One God which came later after sahabas. So we are not worshipping Tawheed. Its like christians saying that they worship the word of God, Jesus which does not make sense either LIKE We cant even worship The Noble Quran which is also the Words of Allah, and this nothing but Iblis's twist to misguidance and shirk.

So worship is only for Allah, only His :swt: right to be worshipped. Just like Allah :swt: 's attributes are for Allah alone. So is the right to be worshipped.

Allah's attributes and His rights to be worshipped is hold in the same regard - and seen in the same light. Right?

Worshipping anyone or anything, be it The Prophets or the Qur'aan - it is shirk. The only one whom it is not shirk to worship is Allah.

Attribute like ar rahman Ar raheem is the Qualities of Allah . So Even a man can posses SOME of those qualities . But Allah = Only Allah

like Sun's attribute is Light but not all Light is Sun .

You are worrying too much. That is also caused by Shaytaan. You need to relax. Take it easy.

Recite Qur'aan every day without fail and make Du`aa. Allaah Ta`aalaa will eventually remove all of these doubts and Wasaawis from your heart and establish it upon the Haqq, Aameen.

Like to add that some attributes of Allah we have been stressed to follow them like being merciful, forgiving but still human's mercy (even All Prophet's ) and forgiving still is incomparable to that of Allah's. But Most of Allah's attributes will never apply even to Prophets or even Angels .

On the words of Allah ie the noble Quran there was a Controversy between the Views of Imam Ahmad bin Hambal (rah alay) and the Muslim king of his times that the noble Quran was a living Maklook which the Imam refused to accept for which he was whipped a 100 lashes at his old age so such was the stringent Imaams who were particular not to accept anything against the haq. So we should be careful not to raise anything more than the truth what it is. ( stand to be corrected if i had remembered wrong on this matter of Imam Hambal)

I am left with a feeling of worry and anxiety if I do not counter the waswass... But the more I try the harder it becomes. :/

I know I shouldn't engage in countering the waswass with arguements. I should rather recite the Quran and get rid of it that way.

may Allah remove all the waswasis from my heart and grant me clarity and may Allah make the Haqq clear to me, without fail. Ameen.

don't focus too much on what you already know, look at other avenues

Brother , There is no harm untill we do not enter the areas of Muthashabihat http://legacy.quran.com/3/7 OR Sifat or Nature of Allah OR Al Qadr OR Soul which we have been given only little knowledge which is known ONLY to Allah and in other areas its nothing wrong to discuss and clear doubts as Sahabas did and Inshallah there will be answers for them .

Incomplete knowledge about a subject could be detrimental so ask them its no harm if they do not enter the above mentioned areas,and Inshallah you will find answers sooner or later as Allah wills at its own Allah's fixed time.

Do not get discouraged by the waswas since I had them too when i was in my teens and I feel Iblis does that with EVER VERY POTENTIAL DA'EE ie inviter to Islam and eeman since my other colleagues did not have waswas as they did ONLY ibadah and did not concentrate on the dawah Part. So Shaitan creates the most problems to Da'ee by waswas or by giving him some other troubles that would destroy or limit his Potential of becoming a Daee or an inviter to islam , imo. In Short you are WITH the Potential of Doing Dawah (inshallah ) so are the hurdles from Iblis to you. But be steadfast and Dua to Allah as there is no Gain without pain and that applies spiritually as well.

This struggle is not of a day or two, but of a lifetime, of every moment of the day and night. And it is not a struggle in one field only but on every front of life. It is about this that Hadrat Hasan Basri has said: "Man exerts in the way of Allah, even though he may not strike one sword at any time."

You have sincerity of belief, all you have to do is trust that Allah wants this for you, and nothing is impossible for Allah.

My understanding of worshiping false gods is this, if I became obsessed with making money, then greed becomes my false god, the worship of money and possessions become more important than Allah in my life. If lusting after lots of women becomes my obsession, then lust becomes my false god. The sins we repeat regularly become our god, we struggle to control our urges in life.

It is not so much what goes into our minds that matters, but rather what we do with these thoughts that causes us to sin. I like this quote about how powerful thoughts are..........

I understand, but it seems that everytime I go over a struggle, another struggle occures. I know I was right.

I know that Allah guides whom He wills. It is strange but here goes:

Now I have waswass over these words:

Anyone and Anything.. Or more precisely, the word "any". What does it mean?

Worshipping anyone or anything no matter who what or who it is besides Allah, is major shirk, be it a Prophet, or anything at all besides Allah (The Creator)
And Allah :swt: knows best.
