Thought Of Ayat 43, Surat Furqan?

As-Salaam alaikum,

Ayat 43 of Surat Furqan of the Holy Qur'an (25:43) reads:--

"Have you seen the person who has made his desires his god?"


 This Noble ayat seems to suggest that there are 2 gods in our existence... that is, Allah Ta'ala and the second is our inner-self (the ego), which rules over a person by enslaving him/her in desires. So, we must try to get rid of this duality and find the One True Allah, know and worship Him.

This noble ayat does not seem to suggest anything.

İt just speaks about people who have become slaves of their own desires. When you are addicted to something...you are making yourself dependant on it...you are its slave...you make that thing your master...your god. That is what this verse is saying...so it does not suggest actually 2 gods.
