When I listened to the whispers of Shaitaan in my head

As music lyrics were on my tongue as I got ready for bed

Getting in the car and blasting the radio

Listening to Alternative, R & B, Desi while driving through the Ghetto

Falling victim to the Devil's trap

The lyrics talkin about sex, violence and selling crack

Astaghfirullah!!!

I can't believe that was me!

Like Allah says "their ears have been sealed"

But no way was I gonna let the Devil put his spell

I wasn't gonna treat my soul to the tortures of eternal Hell

So I took my hand and turned the knob

I had turned this little Shaitan completely off!

Allah! Our Creator! All Knower, All Wise!
Master is HE of Earth and Paradise.
No partner, no family, no kith nor kin;
HE is the creator of mankind and jinn.

Muhammad(saw),the Final messenger;
A friend to all, he was no stranger.
The word of Allah, he did proclaim;
A man of courage, honour and fame.

When Gabriel descended, the Quran was revealed;
Muhammad(saw) was shaken, his lips were sealed.
Slowly, he knew why the Quran was sent;
the truth in it and what it meant.

He invited the people, far and near;
to embrace Islam without any fear.
He was mocked by the people and called a liar;
Little did they know, their abode was Hell-fire.

Muhammad (saw) went on, you could never see him cease;
His love for Allah never did decrease.
He fought many battles, took no defeat;
The enemies of Islam were forced to retreat.

The word of Allah spread far and wide;
Muslims took Quran as a sign and a guide.
Islam is our wealth, Quran our treasure;
Our love for Allah, no one can measure.

When I cried in the dark
When I feared Allah sincerely in my heart
When I tried to read my salah on time
When shaitaan would interfere in my mind
When I thought I was hopeless and lost
When I had faith and trust in God
When I stopped my tongue from saying foul words
When I spoke against the blasephomy I heard
When I lowered my gaze as Allah commands
When I struggled with men to not shake hands
When I closed my ears to shaitaan's songs
When I clicked the remote and stopped watching all haraam
When I opened up Qur'an and read all I could
When finally ISLAM I understood

My voice I raise.
In One God I believe
No equal has He
Lord of the universe
Compassionate to me
Muhammad the Prophet
Taught me the way
To be honest and truthful
Throughout every day
The holy Qu'ran
To life is my guide
It's teachings I follow
By it I abide
Islam my religion
Preaches good deeds
Mercy and kindness
To the right path it leads
Upon all humanity
God showers His grace
Regardless of colour
Nationality or race
Through working together
Our hopes increase
To live in a world
Full of love and peace
