Assalamu alaykum.
Me and one of my friends wrote this poem.
Unspoken Words
She wants to run away, but theres this force keeping her in place.
It's all that keeps her standing, it's only Allah's grace.
She's tryna take things calmly, at a slow pace.
She almost gives into the temptations, she almost loses her face.
She supplicates to her lord, almost losing her faith.
The only forgiving one, the only one who needs praise.
Her tears start dripping down her face, her hands struggling to raise.
She can't. She falls. Her heart and mind numbed with disgrace.
A failure she knows shes not, she knows she gotta win this race.
She runs, trying to catch her breath, she falls, get's up, running at a faster pace.
Her body tryna keep up, she gets lost in this trace.
Her mind set on one thing, set on reaching the end of this chase.
Her thoughts start to confuse her, but she knows she gotta get outta this place.
It's hard to manage, sleepless nights, tears streaming down her face.
The past she tries to forget, but she knows its something she cant erase.
They forgave, yet it doesn't seem like it, her heart screams in agony, cries in so many ways.
The guilt and shame pouring out like a waterfall emptying her heart, she tries to compensate.
They don't understand, haven't been in the same situation, they can't forget, she cries in dismay.
She wishes she didn't, and somehow they would repay.
What's done is done, you can't stop time, it's time to move on, time for a change.
