In the Name of Allah

Many non-Muslims often quote verses from the Quran, provide their own commentary, and come to the conclusion that Islam promotes violence. The verses quoted are always the same, and users adopt the same trend:
- Verses are half-quoted,
- Translations are wayyy off,
- Verses before and after the verse in question are totally ignored,
- The CONTEXT [I know everyone hates this word :D] is also ignored.

The following article:
- analyzes these selected verses,
- with correct translation,
- Places the verses into context,
- and ultimately refutes the notion of these so called 'VIOLENT VERSES' :thumbs_up

Salamu Alaykum Warahmatullah

thanks alot for the website bro!:) nice one

that website will do me a 1000 good!

You can't really tell wheter a verse is violent or not, at least not objectively. IMHO killing apostates is utterly violent, and so is killing adulterers, homosexuals, pagans, people who don't want to be subdued in an silamic society... I find such punishments violent, muslims may find them just...

Its important to understand the context of the versus b4 eva falin jumpin in2 conclusions.....if Allah sez to kill the kuffaar on the battlefield...it dznt mean that u go up to them on the field and ask permission frm them to slay...evn the enemies wld agree wiv that...but its importatnt to hve the correct understanding lyk the the knowledgeable generations b4 us did..wassalam
