For the first time, scientists have been able to “see” and trace lightning inside a plume of ash spewing from an actively erupting volcano.

On a slightly nerdy sidenote, we are all familiar with the earth, fire, wind, water element scheme in videogames and cartoons. Does volcanic lightening break the balance between fire and wind? :?
