what about islam did u learn today?

so what about islam, did u learn today (or recently)? share ur knowledge so we all can benefit

i learnt that The Prophet ordered the people to pay Zakat-ul-Fitr before going to the 'Id prayer as its stated in Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 25, Number 585

c'mon ladies and gentlespoon u must have leant something new:

i learnt today that zakat of the body is fasting:

"Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Muhammad said: "Every person has a zakaat (to pay) and the zakaat of the body is fasting." Ibn Majah"
 
That a woman cannot spend more than a night travelling without a mahram...

I learnt just how important miswaak is - reading a book on it.
Using miswaak on fridays has been extensively narrated on.
It increases memory
Omits bad odour.
Gives noor to the face
and so much more......

Well I found this out from brother Osman himself so, I'll quote him:

Anger is one emotion that is very hard to control.

Khalid ibn El Waleed (RA) narrated the following hadith: A Bedouin came one day to the Prophet (SAW) and said to him, "0, Messenger of Allah! I've come to ask you a few questions about the affairs of this Life and the Here After."

-Ask what you wish.

One of the questions was:

Q: What are the worst evils in the eyes of Allah?

A: Hot temper and miserliness.

I recently learned that those who write tafsir are called mufassireen. Singular is Mufassir. :)

I want to and have been trying to memorize the whole qur'an, its been a few months now but I'm stuck on Surah Mutaffifin! I can't seem to memorize it for some reason.... And don't laugh, I'm slow in memorization...:-[

I try to memorize atleast 10 ayah a day
