cryptids are unknown species with strange physical shapes who are hidden from our sight, they may wait for a moment till they appear suddenly and make human beings feel scared when they don't expect it which may occur only by permission of Allah swt unless Almighty allows them to implement their desires to intervene and try to cause unwanted actions that would look like a kind of "violating a natural law" such as helping illusionists by doing extraordinary magical tricks in front of public, frightening random people, transporting important items from one place to another etc
I wonder who could they be? Something of the unseen world, jinns or separated creatures made by Allah that nobody else knows yet? I know many people struggle to find available validation, proofs and evidence of the existence of their peculiar nature, and numerous scientist people cannot either prove or reject this possibility because science can't explain significant things we don't know doesn't mean there's nothing possible in our 3d reality hence the statement clearly shows that the science is weak and it's highly possible that it might be wrong sometimes, not to mention it could happen quite often.. if you're not able to see a lion in your empty room, you can't say it doesn't exist, right?
