In Islam, hijab is not only a piece of cloth but a command from Allah ﷻ that represents modesty, dignity, and protection for women. The Qur’an mentions hijab in Surah An-Nur (24:31) and Surah Al-Ahzab (33:59), guiding women to dress modestly and preserve their honor.

Indeed, the Koran is clear on this matter. In Surah An Nur, the word bikhumurihinna (بِخُمُرِهِنَّ) refers to "their veils" or "their head coverings" which are extended ala juyubihinna (عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِهِنَّ ۖ) meaning "over their chest" which is a clear command for women to cover the head and the chest.

In the West, women are completely free to dress immodestly yet the right of Muslim women to practice Islam and wear Islamic garments is legally and systematically denied in many countries. This so-called "progressive" or "enlightened" denial of freedom of religion is a hypocritical lie.

Women are systematically degraded, objectified, and exploited for profit via immodesty in pornography, social media, and popular entertainment. Islam treats women with honor and dignity as mothers, wives, students, educators, business owners, and so on. Not objects for sale.

Islam protects women from exploitation by protecting honor and dignity. By saving her beauty for her husband, marriage is more meaningful and joyful, and the dignity and honor of women is preserved. By preserving modesty, women are respected as women, not objects.
