Asalamualaykum. Like can anything you do be considered an act of worship if you do it for Allah? Even breathing? Or swallowing? Or is it only what He asks us to do (ie salat)?

Those can be turned into acts of remembrance..

Although if they benefit a person or not is debateable..

And leads on to the topic of innovation and shirk at the extremes.

Worship is reserved for the prayer and its manner/times of conduct..

It supercedes all other actions..

...Even if you were to claim to be doing all other actions in remembrance or seeking closeness to allah swt in them..

Keep breathing though..

This is my understanding of the question anyway, others will probably be able to give you a more evidence based perspective.

...cos im an idiot.

Edit.. i used the term remembrance.. but it seems incorrect..

Heres a wiki..

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibadah

..so i guess its a simple yes in answer.

Yes, everything can be an act of reward if done with the right intention and according to the Sunnah of the Prophet :saws:.

Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas :ra::

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You will be rewarded for whatever you spend for Allah's sake even if it were a morsel which you put in your wife's mouth." [Bukhari]
