What is happening in Syria?

I was scrolling on this website when I found that there was a video about muslim prisoners in Syria. I don't understand, it's all islamic people there. The USA or any other country hasn't interfered but I read about muslim women being raped there. Can anyone tell me what exactly is happening there?
