I've heard some very good news from my sister that my mum wants to learn how to pray. She has been reluctant in the past.
It's not easy telling someone to learn about Islam at such a late age. She is in her late 40's. I think that is old.
Anyway Al-Hum-Du-Lillah ALLAH(SWT) has given her hidayat to come onto the right path. It's odd that she never got taught nothing when she was a child in Pakistan. Her brothers and sisters have been to Hajj and know the basics. I think my uncle is the same as my mum. Both were the youngest and I reckon they weren't sent to the Masjid.
Anyway the onus is on me even though my mum has not asked me. I try my best to pray 5 times a day. My sister told me and I was thinking "you idiot, mum asked to learn and you never did nothing"
So where do I start. She can't start praying cos she has to learn Qaida first. I know how to read Quran but without Tajweed. I was taught like this at my local. Later on in life i found out what Tajweed is. I've got intentions to learn Tajweed so my pronounciation is correct.
As I am teaching her, do I teach her like I've been learnt because that is the best I can do. She maybe reluctant to learn from someone else. My mum is very stubborn.
Any help of what I should teach her, stage by stage. Anything I can use from the Internet that would make it easier.
I haven't asked her yet so do dua please. I've been really busy working and trying to start some uni work.
JazakALLAH-heir.
