Write words of support which will console and help them... same as like we would help a member in the Advice and Support section. Maybe u could send them some inspirational sayings.

which country are the prisoners in? itdepends on the country what you can and cant send.

tell them about ur day life, about news etc, make your letter something different to what they would be reading everyday, something to look forward to and get into
