What is Meaning of the word Pokemon ?

We have heard many suggestion as to the meaning of this world, which may be exaggerations made up by some people, or they may rumours spread by competitors.
The correct view is that this is a name that comes from Japan. It is taken from the (English) words “Pocket monster” and means an animal that is small enough to fit in one’s pocket. “Pokemon” is an abbreviation of these two words.

btw i enjoy disney & dreamworks creations, last unicorn, looney tunes, courage the cowardly dog, sylvester and tweety mysteries, mickey mouse, thundercats, etc etc
but dont watch cartoons nowadays, more into sitcoms and PS2, anybody here in final fantasy? cant get enough of it. they released FFXII this year.

cartooooooooooooooooonzzzzzzzzzz i luv cartoooonsssssss but um ...these days i am having my exams ...so :'( i m not allowed to watch cartoons ...um i luv all the disney channel cartoons....like kim possible ..quack pack ... tarzan and disney cartoon movies like treasure planet .. finding nemo the best ...sindbad ... oooooh luv em and i also watch cartoon networks ... in which i used to luv tom and jerry but now they r repeating the same old series
....but i watch um ...Dexter's labatory

and um i tried to watch pokemon ... my frend is crazy abt it ...and she told me :cum on u will luv pokemon and so i watched the cartoon with her.... with popcorn in my lap...and well... wow ..i had gud sleep and she stayed watching ....lolz she asked me later : did u find it interesting? i said : ya
i luv pokemon hehe pokemon is gud in getting me a guddy sleep !!

i hate cartoons!! but i do watch em sometimes..my lil bro is alwayz holdin the remote control..even wen he wakes up..he hides it 4rom the rest of the family..da tv is alwayz on dora the explorer..godddddddddddd i hate dora..evrything 2 him is dora dora dora..dora this dora that..but he did pick up many spanish wordz..not bad for a 3 yr old..im glad hes not like me wen i was his age..i used 2 be in love with barney!! my mom has this video of me..everytime she wanna bother me..she put it on..OMG..I GET SOO EMBARRASSED>>i can't believe that was me!!
