The Hadith is FABRICATED.

The Fatwaa here at IslamWeb clearly states it.

Is that not enough?

Sheikh al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him and give him the highest place in Paradise) is known to have gone back on some of his gradings later in life when he found evidence that he made a mistake.

He was not arrogant. He was willing to acknowledge his mistakes. May Allaah truly bless his soul.

There were times when he graded Hadiith authentic and then in later books said he was mistaken and reverted back on the grading. Same with Hadiith he graded weak and then discovered he had erred and they are in reality authentic.

That is why you study the works of a person and learn from those who are well versed in his works than go about listening to hearsay from any Joe, Moe, and Harry out to put down a scholar simply because he has bias against him.

Slander is never a good thing.

So what is the final grading on this hadith? I've found reference for weak and fabricated but for the one called authentic, I found this in its place:

So I'm confused, what is it's final grade? It has different narrators right? Does that mean anything?

I would have thought it depends on who's grading it.

See the reference number? That is where the first one I posted should be, but instead its a different hadith there, that is what I am showing?


2nd, does the fact that the first hadith I mentioned have different narrators mean anything at all?

The hadiith, by the way, has been narrated in تاريخ قزوين by الرافعي

The Hadiith is Mursal so weak. The narrator عباية is a Taabi and not a Companion.

Second, Sheikh al-Albaani graded it fabricated after contemplating over the text of the Hadiith as he says in his collection of weak hadiith
وتأملت متنه، فبدا لي أنه موضوع

He first points out the flaws in the chain of narrators. Then after contemplating over the matn he comes to the conclusion that it is probably fabricated.

At the end of the day even if you do not accept that it is fabricated, it is weak because of the chain of narrators which has several flaws one of them being that it is Mursal.

Finally, where in Sunan al-Nasaa'i did you read this hadiith? I would like to see that reference.

I cannot find it. Nor can I find where the great Sheikh labelled it authentic.

That is a search you have run on some website.

You have not taken that from the books themselves.

Which search have you used. Hence, you are getting all confused about the numbering.

You are going by hearsay of some user without checking things out by yourself???????????????????????????????
