why r topics being closed

as-salam alaykum to my brothers and sisters in islam. i have been looking at the posts that brothers and sister leave for ppl to benefit from and they are being closed without much replies to them. now i know that this forum is for learning, so why not let the brothers and sisters learn? i know some of has the ability to contact the scholars if we want to; if we can not contact then we know some1 who can. i believe that the posts that are closed are important. we can not ignore certain issues cause that would b holding knowledge and we all know that is a sin to hold knowledge from the community. if some1 post a question or comment it should be explored from all aspects of that issue. for example, ibn tammiyah there is a fatawa concerning him from the scholars of his time. iwill not get into details about it until i get a reply to this post, but if you would allow ppl to post there questions and concerns then alot of confusion will be addressed. now im not trying to make any trouble Allah knows my intentions and Allah is the best of Judges. so please think about what i said. thank you and may Allah Bless us all in knowledge.

I'm sure you have a very good point. I'm sure you'll have an even better point if you split up that massive text block into several sentences so people can understand what the heck you're saying :)

I think more than one mod should close a thread, so it's fairer if 2-3 mods decide to clsoe a thread than one

is this your idea of beneficial knowledge which should be known to the whole community. In this time there are other things to worry about other than what one person says about another.

Lol thats democracy for ya brother Muezzin - you of all peopel should know that (damn law student :p ) for saying that i rekcon this thread will get closed!
 
the point of my post was to give other Muslims the chance to see and learn the

biggest problem that the Muslims face today is there lack of undersatnding the information that is given ,we all know whats happening in the world today and

i know that we can not change what Allah has ordained for us and this world and

as far has ibn tammiyah goes that was just an example but one thing i do know

for sure all of us can benefit from each other so what are we as Muslims going to

do about it

Brother Abdul Sahfi'i, I agree with what you say about trying to spread beneficial knowledge, and as moderators it is our duty to remove all unnecessary and useless threads. So if you feel any thread should not have been closed, please feel free to pm any staff member and post the link as brother Far7an mentioned.

There was a refutation about false statements against Ibn Taymiyyah which can be viewed in the 'Refutation' section of the site. If you feel that there is anything left out, please contact brother Ansar Al Adl.

Now that the question has been answered, wouldn't it just be deliciously ironic if this thread were locked?

Try using punctuation in your posts, it makes it easier to read. As for the threads, as the mods have pointed out they are closed for various reasons. However, if you feel that a specific thread has been closed for without any good reason please bring it to our attention, jazakAllah khair.

I left it open in case br. abdul shafi'i wanted to point out any threads that he feels were closed unfairly, etc.
